Species of Jellyfish that live in Cozumel, Mexico?
Last year I went scuba diving in Cozumel. I’m not quite sure where we dived but when we got about 30 ft down I felt a very sharp stinging pain on my hand. The pain lingered throughout the dive and when we surfaced I saw little dots spaced about a half inch apart making a squiggly line across my hand. We asked a local dive shop if it was a jellyfish sting and they said yes but it was harmless. I was just curious what kinds of jellyfish live in that area? I’ve looked online a lot but haven’t found anything accept forums on the Thimble jellyfish but I know it’s not that the tentacle mark on my hand was too long to be an extremely small one. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!
