Playa Del Carmen or Cancun for Singles? Also where should I visit/stay?
I’m going to Cozumel to go Scuba diving with a group of friends. I’m staying an extra week to have some fun for myself (I’m single). After our trip is done I plan to visit Playa Del Carmen or Cancun. Where is the best place to meet people? Both singles and couples or groups? Also any recommendations for hostels/hotels/resorts? I don’t want to spend more than 150/Night and preferably lower if possible. I don’t mind staying in Hostels as I plan to visit a lot of places or party my butt off.
Also I’m a huge fan of professional massages. Can anyone give me insight on how they compare to places such as Massage Envy?
Wow what answers. First let me say you are in no danger with the drug or gang violence unless of course you are looking for drugs a police officer or a member of the cartels. Here in Playa not one tourist has been involved in any drug violence that was not looking for illegal activities and Cozumel is one of the safest isla in the world.
Now as for an answer to your question, hands down Playa. At more than half the cost of Cancun here we are all walkable a 24 hour town that protects its tourists our livelihood. Here in Playa you will find 4 star hotels at 150 a night but why for a third of that you can rent a super room a block from the beach right on the famous 5th Ave which runs the entire length of Playa not more than a block from the Carri bean Ocean and 100s of bars restaurants shops and opportunity to meet and find friends. We have several hostels from 10 dollars and up all within 2 or 3 blocks of the ocean a great place to meet people and have a great time.
